A good friend had a baby in January, she is soooo adorable!

They didn't know what they were having, so as soon as I found out I created this quick card for them:

I used some Delinquence Embossing Powder in Super Sparkle Pink from Creative Inspirations for the sentiment. I also added a little Ivory paint to the heart pins.

I think it turned out pretty cute, for being a quick card!

Now for my project:

I fell in love with the Pull Toys stamp as soon as I saw it! What a great stamp for those baby cards! So I decided to feature the stamp along with some CI Paints!

I took some close-up pictures to show the beautiful shimmer of these adorable animals!! For the giraffe and duck I used Mellow Yellow. I also used glossy accents to add some texture and glossy to the giraffe's spots and nose along with the ducks beak.

I used Silver Frost for the elephant!

The "baby boy" sentiment was computer generated and I used Blue Ice over the top to give it a little shimmer.

Today I have created two Easter layouts with the Easter Wishes set!

First up I have a layout for my little girl's album from her first Easter in 2010:

I used the Happy Easter sentiment, one of the eggs and a flower from this set to create the two side pieces of paper! I just love creating my own paper! Especially since this year I had a tough time finding much Easter paper I really liked.

I have another layout for my little girl's album from Easter last year:

The Happy Easter sentiment, banner and eggs from this fun set:

The set also includes a fun Easter egg tree, in which I paper pieced, so I could pop-up some of the eggs and give them different colors:

I wasn't going to add the little flowers on the bottom, but it was kind of plain and bothering me, so I did. The flower is actually a flower from around the tree. I cut it from the stamp so that I could use it just as the flower!! So cute!

IBS Sneak Peek Day 1!

So Happy Layout

I just love it, my little girl will be walking around ever once in awhile and all of a sudden she will start saying "So Happy! So Happy! So Happy!" Melts my heart every time as I just love knowing she is happy!

So I knewI just had to create a layout sometime with the title so happy for a memory!

The set Little Phrases has a "Happy" stamp that I thought would be fun to use to create a border around her picture.

Aren't these flowers pretty?! I love them!! I used a Peach Daisy and a 2 Toned Pink flower from the release for the layout! The others are from my stash.

I used Fancy Labels 18 to create a little tab for the date.

I also used some new flowers that will be for sale Saturday!! I just LOVE the semi open red rose buds!! I also used a dark red flower with dark leaves! Two of the little red roses are from my stash.

St. Patrick's Day with SS

Sweet Stamps Challenge:

St. Patrick's Day

Here's the card I created:

This is the first St. Patrick's Day card I have ever created!! So that was pretty exciting!

Especially since I loved the inside sentiment I used that I recently found by SS!

"Never iron a four-leaf clover, you don't want to press your luck." - Which is from the set Four leaf Luck Duo! Which consists of this sentiment and a 4-Leaf Clover.

I added some Creative Inspirations Resplendence Glitter in Emerald Green to the outline of the 4-Leaf Clover to add some fun sparkle using my quickie glue pen!!

I used the Queen Anne Lace die to add a frame around the St. Patrick's Day sentiment. I added Green Olive Creative Inspirations Pain to the cut die to add shimmer to it!

After doing this I thought how fun it would be to use this die to create snowflakes for those holiday cards!! I love this new die from Cheery Lynn!! Cheery Lynn's Challenge this week happens to be "Lots of Layers"!

Owl be your friend forever

I have another adorable card to share with you this morning!! I used my Create a Critter cart, to cut out this adorable owl and tree branch!

I added the "Owl be your friend forever" sentiment from the Lovey Puns Animal set that was released by My Thoughts Exactly this month! I just love this set!

Some of the sentiments in this set are fun for everyday cards as well, not just Valentine's day!

I used one of my embossing folders to emboss the owl's body and give it a little texture. Add a little flower by its ear!

I created this card for my sister, she asked if I could create a card for her to give to one of her friends! (My sister is 15) So I think this is perfect! I can see this sentiment will be fun to use for cards for some of my friends as well!

Considering it is still winter here, I decided to use this adorable snowlady from the set "Mr. and Mrs. Duo"! Been wanting to get some Christmas cards made, so this was a great chance!

This week's challenge over at Cheery Lynn is frame it, so I decided to join in, but do something a little different. I decided to use different, I used the Snowflake Die along with one other to create a border around the image using snowflakes!

Winter Snowman

Good morning!

I wasn't sure what to create for today. So I started thinking and decided to create a winter card, as I have been wanting to get a start on Christmas cards. Then I decided I was going to use a little bit of all CI Products!! I never used them all together before, so this was a fun challenge.

My card:

I just love this adorable snowman!!

I added some Jeweled Inspirations in Siam in each corner to give the card some bling!!

I used CI Paint Fairy Dust on the snowman's hat and scarf to give them a little shimmer! On the two ornaments I added Resplendence Angel Dust Glitter to give them a little glimmer!

On this piece of paper I used a polka dot stamp and embossed with Deliquesce Super Sparkle Red to give it some fun texture and sparkle! This EP is awesome!!

Today I have another layout to share with you that I made from my daughter's birthday!

I used the "Wish Big" sentiment from the Big Wishes set to create the title on the banner. The star that separates the two words is from the set Cupcake Wishes, along with the fun piece of confetti that I used to create the background behind the banner!

Love the confetti pieces as the background! Adds a nice finished touch.

The little "Birthday Girl" sentiment is from the set Butterfly Wings.

Lastly, I have a thank you card! My brother-in-law's girlfriend called us this past week and asked if she and my brother-in-law could watch our kids for us! I was floored! She wanted us to go out together for our anniversary! It's been such a long time that my husband and I have gone out alone, as I always want the kids around and feel bad asking someone to watch them, so this was a real treat! It was long overdue!

So I wanted to create a card to thank her:

I just love the newly released Fancy Labels 18 set!! I've always loved using Spellbinders on my cards and even love them more now that I have amazing stamps to go with them!! The "Thank You" sentiment is from the stamp set The Sky's The Limit.

Joanna, was so sweet and sent us some flowers in our stamp packages to try on our projects this month as she is selling them beginning today!! I used Dark Pink Flowers and Shabby Pink Flowers for this card!

I really like the different colors I used on this card, I've never really used these two colors together before. I was inspired by the new paper pack "Lost and Found" by My Mind's Eye that I recently picked up.

I used Skipping Stones Design sketch this week created by Kazan Clark for inspiration - so I am entering this card in that challenge!

IBS Sneek Peek Day 2

Good morning stampers!!

As I mentioned yesterday Inspired By Stamping has 9 new amazing sets being released tomorrow!

I have a fun summer layout to share with you this morning! One of the stamp sets I used to create some of the elements of the layout are from the new set "Fancy Labels 18"! This is a MUST have set if you like spellbinders dies!

Notice the flower in the bottom right...Joanna owner of Inspired By Stamping has some flowers she will be selling beginning tomorrow! They are so pretty!! I used a large white curly flower!

After stamping the frame inside the die, I was in LOVE! I just love having stamps to go with the dies! And they are so pretty! The "Summer Joy" sentiment was created on my PC.

I also used a few of the other design elements from the set to border around the pictures and to put at the top and bottom of the butterfly piece of paper!

The stamped butterflies are from the set Butterfly Wings!

I used some CI Paints Peach on this one to create the beautiful shimmer!

I used the "Make a Wish" sentiment from the Big Wishes set.

I used some of my CI Paints to add shimmer to the sentiment.

I used the heart from the "Cupcake Wishes" set to add hearts in the middle of two of the circles around the cricut cut Happy Birthday sentiment. (pictured is one of them)

I also have a card to share with you! I absolutely love the new set I used for this card! It's called Fancy Labels 18! Works perfectly with the Spellbinders Labels 18!

I used another set from Inspired By Stamping as well called "Winter Wonderland", which consists of the snowflakes and sentiment! Love this set!

I created a Christmas card, as I have been wanting to start on the early again this year!

Good morning! Ready for another release from Paper and Such?! I sure hope so as I am so excited to share with you the stamps that are being released today! I LOVE them!!

When I got these sets, I was so excited! The little girl with the balloon is soooo adorable! And the daffodil's...do I need to say anything? I love them! Love flowers!!

For my card today, I used the set "You Lift Me":

This actually was the first stamp set I took out of my package from Julie and was just amazed at how fun and adorable she is! So I decided to use her for the release blog hop!

I used some of my Creative Inspirations Paint in Tutu Pink to add shimmer to her balloon. For this card I also used, probably my favorite 6x6 stack that I got from Paper and Such My Mind's Eye Gertie!! It's pretty sad that I just ordered this stack and well needless to say I probably could order it again already!!

Today's post for Sweet Stamps is a little different! We aren't having a challenge this week, as the new DT members are being introduced on the site and the Senior DT members were asked to "Pick 6"!

So check the blog out to meet our newest members!! We have some lovely new ladies joining our team!!

The senior DT members were asked to pick 6 of our favorite products in the SweetStamps.com store! What fun! Although, it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be as there are so many great things in the SS store to choose from!

But I narrowed my choices down and this is my "PICK 6":

1. Flower Stamps – I LOVE the flower stamps from SS! They are what first caught my attention when I first happened upon the SweetStamps.com store a little over a year ago! There are so many great flower stamps to choose from! I have many of them!! The Entwined Roses was the first one I ever got!

2. Butterfly Stamps – I LOVE the butterfly stamps as well! (This past year I found myself really liking anything to do with butterflies!!) I really like the Dot Butterfly it is so fun to paper piece with and pop-up different parts of it!

3. Paper Paper Paper – I LOVE all the 6 x 6 paper packs in the SS store!! My favorite pack is Authentique Uncommon! I've been using that one a lot lately.

4. Pearls and Rhinestones- I LOVE all the pearls and rhinestones SS offers!! No project is complete without a little bling!! Usually every order I place I have to order some!!

5. Creative Inspirations Paint - I LOVE using my CI Paints to add shimmer to my projects!! Don’t really have a favorite color, as I love them all! They are a MUST have!!

6. Dies – I LOVE all the dies as well, but I’d have to say my favorite one is the Mini Exotic Butterflies by Cheery Lynn Designs!!

CI Paints Inspired By: Love

It actually was a happy accident! I love how it turned out!

Got out my Xyron to create a sticker! I haven't used this in a long time!

First, put a piece of white cardstock through my Xyron, placed it on my Circut cutting mat and cut a heart out.

I peeled the backing off just the heart section.

I ment to use Resplendence Regel Red Glitter, but am in love with the Deliquesce Super Sparkle Pink Embossing Powder. So I grabbed that without thinking and dumped in on the sticky portion of the heart and then thought, oh NO! I wanted to used glitter! But I decided to try it out to see what happened.

I liked the results so I thought I would stick with it! Look at the glitter in the embossing powder as well!! I just love this stuff!! It has some shades of pink and red as well!

But this technique is fun to do with glitter as well!! And as I found out with embossing powder as well, it gives such a fun texture!

I have a sneak peek or teaser if you'd like to call it that to share with you today!! Getting ready for another release from Paper and Such! And let me tell you....the stamps are once again AMAZING!!

When I got mine I think I was doing a little fun dance as I was so excited to get them inked up!

I LOVE flowers, so the set Daffodil set immediately was calling my name!

Here is a card I created:

I just love daffodils, not only is my favorite color yellow, but they are a nice sign that SPRING is finally here!

First off I created this fun card using Candy Hearts set! My first time creating a fold like this along with a shaker card!

The additional heart I added with the Happy Valentine's sentiment is from Love Label set.

The inside:

The Be my Valentine is from the set Lovey Puns Animal set and I used the empty candy heart from the Candy Hearts set along with a few sentiments from that set as well and some from the Candy Hearts Add On 2 to create the border of conversation hearts!

How cool is this Candy Heart set! There are so many uses for it! It'll be great for creating sleeves for actual conversation heart boxes or even to create your own candy boxes!!

So last night I was inspired to create my first Christmas card for this year!! Yay me!

Good morning!

I have a My Thoughts Exactly and Creative Inspirations Paint project to share with you today.

For this card I used Sweet Thoughts sentiments "birthday wishes"!

Firstly, I picked out my papers I wanted to use. But decided that they needed a little extra WOW, so I used my new Resplendence Angel Dust! I just love this glitter!!! Using a Quickie Glue Pen I added glue to areas of the paper to make them look just like the glitter paper you can buy down town. These papers turned out so nice!

I just love how this card turned out!

I also used CI Paint "Sunshine" to add shimmer to the flames!

They went from boring...

to fun and glittery!!

IBS Sneak Peek Day 1

Good morning stampers!!

Ready for some sneak peek's for the January release? I hope so, because Joanna, owner of Inspired By Stamping, has 4 new sets that are being released this month! Each of us were given one stamp set to work with and showcase!!

The set I received is called Hearts! And all I can say is I LOVE this set!!

With that being said, I decided to make some treats for my first sneak peek.
(As you will tell, I had a lot fun, so sorry for some many projects!!)

For this first one, I used the "Sweet Valentine" sentiment along with a few of the heart stamps. I used the hearts to create my own paper! So perfect for Valentine's day!!

Here's a quick look at the paper before I used it to create the package:

(Sorry it was taken at night in my scrap room, so the colors are a little off)

I just love this sentiment..."a little treat for someone sweet"...

Perfect for those sweet packages of goodies!!

These packages hold four candy kisses!!

I also was inspired to create some little sucker packages/covers/holders...not sure what to exactly call them, but they are so simple and fun to make.

Don't want to think about it, but my little guy will be in pre-school next year and these will be such a fun idea to make for all the kids on Valentine's Day!

Here's the layout I created for this challenge:

I used heart chipboard and covered it with pink paper and then stamped with "Bitty Background Hearts and Dots".

I used the new Tangled Hearts Border Die from Cheery Lynn Dies to create this border along the side. I just love this new die! I used the hearts left from the die cut to create embellishments for my layout as well.

I just love the added shimmer on the hearts with Creative Inspirations Paint!

I used the new Wild Rose Stamp Set that was released yesterday to create this card! What a fun set!

I stamped the image twice, so that I could cut two of the flowers out to pop them up and give the card a little 3-D affect. I really like how it turned out!

For the release, I decided to use the Bitty Love set, so here is the card I created:

I really enjoyed creating this card, especially since I have never used apples to create a card before! I sure have fallen in love with this set. Not only can this apple and sentiment be used for Valentine's Day, but it will be great to use for teacher gifts/cards!

I also used some Charcoal Twine for my card! I love using this stuff!!

When I think of winter, I think of snow!! I just love how this one turned out with the big bow!

This is the first one I created and after I had it together I thought it would be fun to add the big bow, which is why I then created the one above.

The Snowflake #1 is so much fun to use! For these cards I stamped the snowflake in black and the used CI Paints Garnet to add some shimmer!

The inside:

Instead of using an embossing to create the background, I thought I would do something a little different. I used Snowflake Die to cut out all the different snowflakes and then glues them to the card base. There 21 snowflakes on this die!!

Wow, what a fun year of crafting 2011 was!

Looking back at all my projects was so fun! It was even fun to see how many style keeps evolving.

2011...was a year of continued obsession with Paper and Bling! and my newest obsession DIES!! I have enjoyed collecting SPELLBINDER's dies! I have also dabbled with a few other brands.

For my card not only did I use a new stamp from Hero Arts that I just love! But I also used a new product from Creative Inspirations Paint! Molly has released Resplendence Glitter and Deliquesce Embossing Powders! I am in love!

I first stamped my image in a light pink and then stamped it again in VersaMark and used the the Deliquesce Super Sparkle Pink Embossing Powder and heated it and I got this beautiful image. I just love it!!

We had a fun night, didn't go out, but had a wonderful evening home with the kids! They made it to 11! But then they were starting to get a little crabby so we all went to bed!

I just LOVE this card!

The adorable little girl is from Stampin' Up. The papers are from Authentique pad "Wonder". I love that stack of paper.

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season! I know there will be a lot of excitement in our household the next few days! Today is when "Santa" visits our house! So the kids will be so fun to watch! They both are at such fun ages right now! It's so sad they have to grow up so fast.

Another Penguin Gift

Okay, I am so sorry it has taken me awhile to post this tutorial, but I have been busy getting ready for the holidays and most importantly been spending a lot of time playing with the kids!

I have really enjoyed making some cute little hand sanitizer packages to add in most of my holiday gifts this year. But I believe I will be making them for Valentine's Day as well, as they are so easy and fun to make.

1. Cut a piece of cardstock 2" x 11".

2. Score at 1/2", 1 1/2", 3 1/2", 4 1/2", 6 1/2", 7 1/2" and 8 1/2".

3. Fold on score lines; should look something like this:

4. Using an oval punch, you are supposed to punch between the 1/2" and 1 1/2" score marks. (This is the slot fot the hand sanitizer to fit through. I actually don't own a 1" oval punch, so I just used a 1" circle punch, which works fine, it just overlaps a little bit, which isn't a big deal at all.

5. Adhere adhesive to the 1/2" section and adhere to the base to create the package; see picture below:

You can test to see if the sanitizer (or a mini lotion) to make sure it works.

6. Use Velcro to close the package.

7. Embellish as you wish! :)

Good morning!

I have one last quick and simple card I created for my last post at Creative Vision. I can't believe how fast the last four months have gone! My term there is now over, which is sad, as I had a blast designing with Creative Vision Stamps!

I used my favorite stamp set "Let It Snow", as I just am in LOVE with this snowman! I guess it doesn't help that the kids and I are wishing we'd have snow for Christmas and want to be able to go outside and build a snowman! Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we will have snow this year for Christmas, which is such a bummer the snow really gets a person in the Christmas spirit even more.

My card:

I used stamp set Christmas Swirls for the ornaments!

A close-up of the ornaments, I just love how the turned out with the added shear ribbon on the top!

The ornaments take up a lot of room, so it is hard to see the piece of backgroud paper I created, so I took some in process pictures to share, as it turned out really neat and is soooo shimmery!

I useda stamp from the set Timeless Textures to create this fun patterned paper:

First I stamped it twice on a piece of paper.

Then I used a few of my Creative Inspirations Paint to add some shimmer and a sponge like affect.

I used CI Paints; Denium, Sky Blue, Silver Frost and Winter Frost!

I just LOVE how this card turned out. The use of the two stamps together is so elegant! I used ribbon to create my border. Used two pieces of designer paper from the Authentique Paper Pad "Wonder"! I just love that pad of x-mas paper, so elegant and fun! And for my three embellishments I used: rhinestones, pearls and a bow!

My sister had called asking for a bright colored Christmas card to give one of her friends, keep in mind my sister is only 15, so she is at the age of lovely REALLY bright colors. I'd like to share what I have created for the hop:

I used some Jeweled Inspirations in Siam for the bottom of the card to give it a little extra BLING!

Green Olive was added to the Christmas tree to give it a little more shimmer!

I added Green Olive to the green cardstock and Rustic Red to the red cardstock!

I also created a little hand sanitizer package to go with the card!

Just two other versions I created as well.

Also with it being winter....although we haven't gotten any snow yet, believe it or not; one of my favorite CI Paints to use on wintery cards is Winter Frost. It's perfect for snow!!

I also used some Metallic Inspirations in Peridot at the top of this card. (This card kind of reminded me of a wrapped present with a big tag on it!)

The Winter Frost makes it look like snow of the tree branches!! :)

Adorable Snowman

Good morning stampers, today is my day to post on the Creative Vision Blog! I created a cute snowman card to share today! I just LOVE the Let It Snow stamp set. I am using the snowman, snowflakes and two sentiments from the set for my card today.

First, I created a sketch to go off of:

Then went to work creating my card....

I used the adorable snowman for the top of my card and the let it snow sentiment for the bottom. Added some snowflake dies, ribbon and some pearls to add the perfect touch.

Inside:

I used another sentiment from the set for the inside, along with the snowflakes to add a little something to the inside.

I really like how it turned out and I hope you do as well. I just love the colors together along with the wonderful stamps!!

I love using textured stamps, as they are so much fun to use to create your own background! I like creating my own papers!!

My card:

I have to admit, I have never used music type stamps before, so for this card that was my goal. I wanted to use the sheet music as I have used the other textured background stamps from this set already. I didn't want to overdo it with all the textures, so I just used the sheet music from Timeless Textures. So thinking into it, I used the stamp to create a background sheet and then stamped it yet again with another ink to create two separate pieces, as if I were highlighting part of the song! Got kind of creative with this one, really putting some thought into it!! Yay me! :)

The sentiment I used is from the set Christmas Swirls.

I have recently really gotten into using chipboard. For this challenge I decided I would create a layout for my little guy's album.

The layout I created:

I used the Cheery Lynn die set "French Flair" to cut out the piece of paper in white I stamped the "Vertical Birthday" for the main sentiment. As well as using the "Balloon Silhouette" to create my own patterned paper.

Close up pictures of the paper covered star chipboard pieces. The bottom three I used Creative Inspirations Paint "Fairy Dust" to add shimmer to the entire stars.

On this star, I only used the paint on the colored stripes.

Lastly, I created these fun candles using a die from the "Cupcake" die set. I then added CI Paints "Denium" and "Sunshine".

This week's challenge at Creative Inspirations Paint is:

Inspired By: Non-Traditional Christmas Colors

I'm so excited to say that the original card I created for this post, I am unable to share with you today, as it will be getting published in Paper Creations next year!!! YAY!! So excited! I just loved how it turned out!!

But I did create another card using the same stamps. I just LOVE the "Winter Wonderland" set from Inspired By Stamping!

I also really like how this one turned out!!

I just love using the snowflakes to create my own background paper!

I sponged Creative Inspirations Paint "Winter Frost" to add a little shimmer to the paper as well.
